The votes are in and the employees have spoken: Eland are the 4th Best Company to Work For in the UK. Just days after our being named a 3 star Extraordinary Company for the third time, we broke into the Top 10 of the Sunday Times Best Companies list for the first time, up nine places from last year.
We topped the poll for having faith in the senior management (98%) and came second nationally when employees were asked how proud they were to work for Eland (97%). Employees also had a tremendous amount of faith in CEO/Owner Philip Brown (96%) with many calling him ‘an inspirational figure’.
“We want to do better, be better and offer more than any other cable supplier and that begins with our staff,” said Brown. “We make significant investment into the happiness and development of our people because they are the future of our company. And from what we’ve seen so far this year, it’s definitely working!”
With two awards in the first two months of the year, it looks like we’re going to have to make space on the mantlepiece. 2012 is going to be busy.

On Friday, 2 March, we were excited to attend the “Dance with Damiani” Charity Ball, at The Savoy Hotel, in aid of Waterberg Welfare Society. For more than 10 years the charity has been supporting those individuals affected by HIV/AIDS in the Waterberg district of Limpopo Province, South Africa, through prevention, treatment, care, and youth development.
Guests were given the opportunity to acquire some prestigious Damiani pieces and to bid for a selection of exclusive experiences and products, all to benefit the charity. We are proud to support such a wonderful charity and to make a positive contribution to the community.
