Eland has recently teamed up with Now | Maintenant, a Canadian based charitable organisationcarrying out community development projects in Benin. Together, we supplied computer equipment to a primary school based in Glo Yekon village. This is part of a project started in September 2010 to offer introductory computer courses to the students and young adults of this village. The purpose of the courses is to provide IT knowledge to young people with a view to strengthen their CV and to eventually help them find work. The courses also provide students with the tools necessary to surf the web independently for educational purposes.

On 7th March, we were delighted and lucky enough to attend the UK launch event of The Hawn Foundation. The Foundation was created by Goldie Hawn (the American queen of comedy) to transform children’s lives by helping them to acquire essential social and emotional skills, to enhance academic performance, improve their lives and work with others in their community. This launch event was the perfect occasion for Goldie to introduce and promote her wonderful charity to a star-studded audience.
Eland Cables attended the UK launch event of the Hawn Foundation on 7th March at Annabel’s London, for a good cause. With great company, money raised for the charity and music by Duffy, this launch event and the important cause behind it will stay in our memory forever!
